Loving Kindness Meditation aims to increase compassion and empathy towards yourself and others. In this meditation, the focus is on wishes for well-being and safety. It also emphasises the feeling in your body when you receive the wish, and the feeling when you wish it on someone else. During the meditation we not only bring to mind the people whom we love, but also the people we have difficulty loving, so as to accept them and wish them well in their lives.
