Question 1

If an employer fails to constitute an Internal Committee (IC) or does not comply with the requirements prescribed under the POSH Act, a penalty of up to INR may be imposed.

Question 2

Every establishment having  or more employees is required to constitute an IC.

Question 3

According to the POSH Act,  includes any place visited by the employee arising out of or during the course of employment, including transportation provided by the employer for the purpose of commuting to and from the place of employment.

Question 4

An aggrieved woman who intends to file a complaint is required to submit copies of the written complaint, along with other necessary details.

Question 5

The complaint should be addressed to the  members and not the HR representative.

Question 6

Before initiating action on a complaint, the IC on the request of the aggrieved woman, can make efforts to settle the matter between the parties through the process of .

Question 7

Upon receipt of the complaint, 1 copy of the complaint is to be sent to the respondent within days.

Question 8

The Inquiry must be completed within a total of  days from the receipt of the complaint.
